Under construction :)

We fell in love with the house but we were very intimidated by the scale of the project. As soon as we met Ilie we felt reassured, he is an expert in almost all areas of construction, for example discussing details with our structural engineer, or proposing solutions to intricate problems like restoring coving or finishes in bathrooms. We could not be happier with the outcome, which was complete in record time. Not only that, it turns out Ilie is an expert with marble (who knew) so we now have beautiful bespoke marble work in both our upstairs bathrooms. We will definitely be getting Ilie back for our future loft conversion!

I was looking for a reliable builder to do a dormer loft conversion and posted my job  on mybuilder.com. I shortlisted a few builders that showed interest  but Ilie stood out from the rest when he came around to look at my plans.  He was  knowledgeable in his field, professional, gave me a realistic time scale of how long the job would take, gave me advice and provided a detailed breakdown of costing. He allowed me time to consider his estimate without any pressure. The job was agreed and Ilie and his team started on the day as planned. Throughout the project communication was excellent and Ilie was always available to talk to me about how things were progressing.

Ilie was honest and discussed with me any potential obstacles that he could come across that could impact on the overall costing of the job. We agreed a staged payment plan which was very helpful in allowing me get the funds to pay for the job. Guarantee of work also provided. The team were extremely hard working, tidy, punctual and skilled. They were  respectful of my property/ possessions and considerate to my family  as we were still living in the property as the extensive work was being done. Ilie was more than accommodating as I added extra jobs on for him to do which he willingly did at an extra reasonable cost. Work done by the team was always quality checked by Ile and things that he didn’t like were corrected.

Overall my home has been transformed in to something amazing.  The work has been done to a high standard and finish. I would highly recommend Ile and his team if you need any building  projects done. For any future jobs I need doing I will be giving him a call straight away.
